In their car, I noticed this....
Little strips of pink sticker on the speedometer.
The stickers correspond to 25 mph ("David! Slow down! You're in a neighborhood!") and to 65ish ("David! You're going too fast!")
My guess is that my Mom has conveniently placed them there for my Dad, so he can easily see at a glance if he's about to have his driving critiqued. He can ease his foot off of the gas and avoid any nagging.
After 50 years of marriage, I guess they better know who is the gas and who is the brakes....
I'm pretty sure this is what they're seeing over in Maryland right now. I so wish I could go too!
This view just isn't available in Southern California.

Hope your parents are seeing some great fall foliage. Ours is nearly done here in the Toronto area - the leaves are now on the lawn instead of the trees and not so pretty.
