There are tons of amazing products, but I am just going to tell you about the ones that I am excited about, personally. I am not a designer, not a professional crafter... I'm just a girl who likes to make things. These are the products I want to play with.
Since I was there at the invitation of Plaid, I absolutely have to start with these Mod Podge Mod Melt forms. These are so cool!
The nice peeps at FloraCraft hosted a little breakfast one morning and let us play with their new products. It was really fun, but I'm very excited about these heated cutting tools they have.
|The fabulous Candie Cooper demonstrated how to use these tools.|
The other tool is the Styro-Cutter Plus, which is a heated wire that enables you to make cuts and patterns in the middle of a piece of Styrofoam. The angle is bad in the photo, but I used this tool to burn/cut out letters in the middle of this piece. It's so cool!
I'm intrigued by this concept from Craft Attitude. It's a printable film for ink jet printers and there are different applications for wood, canvas, jewelry, shoes, magnets, fabrics, tons of things!
This stuff sounds really cool:
available online, but think of the possibilities: subway or typographic art using fabric... re-covering shoes, books,etc... applying to pillows or picture frames... It's removable too, which gives you a lot of options.
OK, this isn't sexy, but oh my gosh is it long over due...
I use E-6000 whenever I need a really strong bond on something. I love it, but it is some seriously stinky stuff. This one is a much lower odor.
It is also a spray adhesive that is a pump not an aerosol. When I use an aerosol spray adhesive it can be a bit hard to control where it lands. A pump would be better. (And sometimes if I am gluing something that's light or delicate, the aerosol can blow it around and mess it up if I'm not careful. And sometimes I'm not careful.)
So at any rate, these are the new items that I am most wanting to play around with. Some of them are on the market already, some of them won't be available for a couple of months, but I wanted to give you a heads up that they're coming.

Disclosure: I received some of these items for purposes of trying them out. I have not reviewed them, but am looking forward to doing so. As always, when I do it will be 100% my honest opinion.
