The V Spot

Rants, observations and home decorating from a woman with no time for a blog.

I spent my day at Fox Hollow Cottage…

Maybe it’s the post-holiday blues, but at the moment I’m feeling a smidge tired and uninspired.  (Or perhaps I need a nap…)  You know what I do when I’m feeling a bit uninspired…?  I look to other bloggers for some eye-candy and inspiration.

Today I went over to Fox Hollow Cottage looking for a little inspiration.

Fox Hollow Cottage
I found it!  Shannon has a beautiful shabby chic home.  I love the look of shabby chic, but with all of my boys around here, all of that white and beautiful, delicate decor would not survive, so I go over to Shannon’s and drool.
Here are a few of my favorites:
Shannon can repurpose a tin can and a tequila bottle like nobody’s business!
I am uber-envious that she a) lives in the PacNW; b) that she has a sunroom; and c) that her hubs totally embraced her idea to use old fence boards to make this cool countertop.

I am loving all of the turquoise Shannon uses.

She is even organized... sigh.  I wish I had a whole room for my toys!
You can get the whole tour of her adorable house here:
All of her craft projects and DIY makeovers are really beautiful and fun.  I am definitely feeling like I should get up and do something now…
Thanks for the inspiration, Shannon!

Oh, I love your tour of Shannon's home. Her love of turquoise warms my little heart too! But we have to remember that we are all different; all in different homes; in different stages of life; with different styles; and with different constraints. At least that's what I tell myself when I see a beautiful, organized, well decorated home and I'm feeling blah...

I get inspired at Fox Hollow Cottage too! I have a craft room but I can't get in there for all the junk! I don't know how she does it all, I wish she'd write an ebook :)
Come your my house and see =)

I don't have much to blog about right now either! The house is de-Christmased (bare) and the only new thing I've made is a Valentine's craft I have to wait till the party to share (so hard)! Glad you enjoyed poking around :) It was nice to have you over. I know you'll be crafting again in no time.

Happy New Year!! Shannon

Well, you might be feeling uninspired right now, but you know a lot of people look to your blog for inspiration too!

Thanks for the suggestion of a new read - I'm going to head over and check it out! I'm really loving the turquoise trend - I want to do my baby's room in turquoise and some other bright colors!

I'm exactly the opposite, now that the holidays are over I am renewed and inspired to tackle all sorts of new projects! I won't get anything done tonight though, because now I'll be checking out this new blog. Thanks a lot V, sheesh.

Happy New Year! I love Shannon, she is about the sweetest blogger around too. I have major envy with that fence board counter top. Hope all is well with you and 2013 off to a good start. -K
