However, I have some fabulous blogger friends who will be dropping by with recipes, craft tutorials,activities to do with your kids... and I will be republishing some of my favorite Grant Stories, because we can use a little levity around here.
There is never a good time/age to lose a parent, so thank you to everyone who has left words of encouragement and offered up prayers for Devin and Conner. They are appreciated more than you can imagine.

The summer of my 20th bday, I lost 6 family members (not at the same time or same reason) I saw this on pinterest awhile back and really this is all that I ever wanted to hear from someone offering condolences:
To be honest with you, I don't have the words to make you feel better, but I do have the arms to give you a hug, ears to listen to whatever you want to talk about, and I have a heart; a heart that's aching to see you smile again.
I hope your family is able to smile again soon.

On a serious note, I really like that picture of Mike. This is just so sad. I feel like a broken record but I really am keeping you guys in my prayers. I hope other situations are being worked on too.

My thoughts are with your family during this difficult time. It's never easy to lose someone that you love, but your boys still have you and a strong, loving support system with the rest of your family, so they will make it through this. It's moments like these, when something so dear is lost, that you figure out that you are blessed with what you do have in your life.

Wow - words cannot convey how my heart goes out to you & the boys. Amazing fortitude and strength is what I am hearing from you - again, the trials are tough, but God will never give you more than you can handle.

Having a parent with cancer is tough. I've struggled as an adult child, I can't imagine how I would have handled it as a teenager. I'll be keeping you and your family in my prayers.
