The art of the Thank You note.

As much as we have email, texting and instant messaging, I think there is just no substitute for a hand-written, snail mail Thank You note.  I have always encouraged the boys to write Thank You notes, especially after their birthdays and Christmas.

You know what else there is no substitute for....?

Checking your child's note for spelling...

...for neatness...

... and proper etiquette and appropriateness.

Hey kid, just eat the candy already.  oy.

Ok. You could just do a whole blog about Grant. I especially love how he signed the second note with "Of Course, Grant". hahaha that is awesome.

We Southerners take great pride in writing Thank You notes. So glad you're teaching the next generation the importance of this oft-forgotten art. Thanks.

Well, at least he's honest! :)

You're right--there's no substitute for a hand-written note. I'm glad to see that you're teaching your boys so well! I'm afraid I've not done very well in this particular department. Oh well. I suppose it's never too late, huh?

Those are priceless!

I am such a bad Thank you card writer, and I always think I should teach my kids, so they'll be better at it than I am.
